Gemini can now manage your notebooks in chat.
By Gene B. Geraissati, Founder & Tech Curator | OTN 60 video
What happened
Google turned Notebooks into a Connected App inside Gemini. You can ask, in plain words, to create a notebook, add sources like documents or links, save notes, or answer questions using what’s inside. Gemini decides on its own when to use it.
Why it matters
It’s like having your research folder inside the conversation. Studying for a test or planning a trip? Ask once, and Gemini answers from your own saved material, not the whole web.
OTN take
Our take: this is an official Google rollout, on by default for everyone, except in the European Economic Area. It’s a real time-saver. Just remember that on by default means Gemini can read those notebooks, so check what you’ve saved there.
