What happened
Asus’s ROG Xbox Ally X20, a special edition for 20 years of its gaming brand, is now on sale for 1,299 dollars. That’s 300 dollars more than last year’s Ally X. A bundle with AR glasses and travel cases costs 2,499 dollars.
Why it matters
It uses the same main chip as before, so games won’t run much faster. The upgrades are a slightly bigger 7.4-inch OLED screen, better cooling, improved sticks and buttons, and a see-through black and gold design.
OTN take
Our take: this is official, with prices from Asus. It’s more of a collector’s piece than a big leap. If you already own an Ally X, you can skip it. If this is your first handheld, cheaper models play the same games.
