OTN 60 No. 062: Claude’s New Helper Keeps Working When You Leave

·

Claude’s new helper keeps working when you leave.

By Gene B. Geraissati, Founder & Tech Curator | OTN 60 video

What happened

Anthropic, the company behind Claude, launched Claude Duet, a test version of a personal AI helper. Each day, it checks your connected apps and sends you a short list of things to do. It can also schedule meetings and build simple dashboards or web apps for you.

Why it matters

Duet works in the background and messages you only when something needs your attention. It asks before acting for you, and Anthropic says it never sees your passwords. It’s Anthropic’s answer to Meta’s Muse and OpenAI’s Dots.

OTN take

Our take: this is official, but it’s an early test with a waitlist, only for paying Claude users in the US for now. Before you connect your email and calendar, decide what you’re comfortable sharing.
