Samsung’s own chip may outrun Snapdragon this time.

What happened

According to Korean reports, Samsung’s internal tests put its Exynos 2700 chip about 18 percent ahead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in Geekbench multi-core: around 13,000 points against 11,000. Graphics were reportedly up to 20 percent faster in heavy tests.

Why it matters

The Exynos 2700 is expected in the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus in most countries, while the Ultra should stay with Snapdragon. Earlier Exynos chips had a reputation for running hotter, so many buyers preferred Snapdragon models. A stronger chip could change that.

OTN take

Our take: this is a leak from Samsung’s own tests. There are no public scores and no single-core results. Wait for independent reviews before you pick a phone by its chip.
